身も守る鎧・兜
鎧・兜は昔、武家社会の男子にとって非常に大切なものでした。
また、今日では
男子の身を守るという意味を持っており、端午の節句に飾ることで、
男の子の誕生を祝い、交通事故や病気にかからないように身を守ってほしいという願いがこめられています。
武者のぼり
旗指物の幟は、遠く鎌倉時代の昔から
武門の誉を誇示し、家の繁栄を願う御印でした。
たくましく育ってほしいとの願いを込めて、庭や門前にたてられるようになりました。
鯉のぼり・登竜門
鯉のぼりの由来は、鯉が「竜門」という急流の川をのぼると龍になって天へ登るという、中国の伝説からきています。
健やかな成長と立身出世を願うご家族の温かいまごころです。

and that she may healthily
grow up.it has been a
custom to dedicate bows
and arrows to Shinto shrines

In
the Kamakura era, it became
a custom to decorate Hamayumi
(arrow to get rid of evils)on
the occasion of the first
New Year for a boy baby,
and this custom permeated
the nation.
Nowadays,
Hamayumi is also decorated
in the New Year's holiday
season, and this practice
stems from that tradition.
By
decorating Hamayumi, people
pray for the healthy growth
of their boy babies.
